Intended for students who are concurrently enrolled in MATH 6, Modern Mathematical Methods for STEM Majors. Topics include concepts from elementary algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra that are needed to understand the more advanced concepts explored in MATH 6, as well as learning skills like time management and test preparation. Emphasis is placed on number sense and numeracy; fractions, decimals, and scientific notation; fundamental operations on numbers, algebraic expressions, and functions; algebraic manipulation; geometric figures such as circles, parabolas, and special right triangles. This corequisite course is Pass/No Pass only.
