Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis lecture survey course addresses the many different requirements of putting on a production, providing the theoretical foundation that supports the production process, and building an information base of the specialized language and terminology, schedules and procedures necessary to produce a show. Students learn how to organize and prepare the different aspects of production, how to implement ideas, and how to communicate with specialists in the field. Attendance of dance productions for which students must purchase tickets (see smc.edu/dance) is required along with written assignments.
