Topics include how information and misinformation are produced, valued, organized, shared or suppressed; the nature of research and finding information; notions of authority and credibility; and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning. Students critically analyze the information ecosystem and practice research skills. Satisfies SBCC Information Competency requirement.
