Students examine the constitutions, structure, and operation of governing institutions, civil liberties and civil rights, political behaviors, political issues, and public policy using political science theory and methodology. Students will learn about the Constitution of the United States and the operation of representative democratic government under that Constitution and the process of California state and local government.
