    Description
    Students study the development of Western culture and society through the study of the institutions, thought and the literary and artistic expression from the Renaissance to modern times. Emphasis is placed on understanding the facets of modern civilization by tracing the social, cultural, and political thought of the past. Students are also introduced to the ideas/accomplishments of significant men and women in each period.
