They are introduced to the analysis of art in terms of form, function, process, content, and themes. Students receive a broad overview of the visual arts, its elements and principles, media, techniques, and terminology. Students will also examine the role of art criticism and aesthetics in a historical and cultural context. Field trips may be required.
