    Description
This course combines travel with experiential learning and study to enable students to enrich and enhance their understanding of the discipline of political science and law. This course strives to provide equitable opportunities by exposing San Joaquin Delta College's underserved students who reflect the diverse population of San Joaquin County to international travel and study. The course will emphasize the visitation of Stockton's Sister Cities by examining local governance and public policy challenges that may include responses to political participation, affordable housing, economic and workforce development, homelessness, and crime. The course will also focus on building cross-institutional relationships between the City of Stockton and Stockton's Sister Cities. In addition, the course strives to cultivate an understanding of globalization, expand cultural knowledge, and cultivate the life-learning skills needed to become a global citizen.
