    Description
This course is a preparatory course for Calculus. It emphasizes the algebraic and trigonometric knowledge and skills required for success in Calculus. Topics include absolute value, linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric equations, functions and their applications, polar coordinates, vectors, and linear and non-linear systems. Graphing calculators may be required. Since MATH 39 and MATH 38A/B are equivalent courses, credit may be awarded for either MATH 39 or MATH 38A / MATH 38B but not both.
