    Description
    This course presents scientific concepts of nutrition related to the function of nutrients in basic life processes and current health issues with emphasis on individual needs. Emphasis is given to the role of food choices and physical activity on health, body weight, and risk of disease. Students undertake a self-study of personal dietary intake and habits compared to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
