    This course introduces the student to the basic sewing techniques used in apparel design and production. Students learn to select and use sewing equipment, fabric and patterns, interpret and use commercial patterns, and minor pattern adjustments. Students learn to use industry construction techniques on commercial sewing machines and sergers.
