    Description
This course will introduce students to forecasting and its use by the creative design industries with the aim of developing an intuitive and intellectual approach to predicting future trends, on both fashion and interiors, as well as consumer behavior and retailing. The course provides students with in-depth knowledge of the relationship between forecasting, trend prediction, marketing, economics and style movements. The student will develop research skills in historical context, consumer trends and buying patterns, fads, crazes and cults, all of which play a part in the analysis of style movements. Since FASHION 21 and ID 21 are cross listed courses, credit may be awarded for either FASHION 21 or ID 21 but not both.
