    Description
    This course is an introduction to a child's brain physiology and function that will examine current brain research and its relevance to educational practices and the guidance of young children. Current brain research findings in the areas of learning and memory, effects of stress and drugs, emotional and intellectual functioning, and gender differences in brain function and behavior for the developing child will be covered. Overview of the Brain Targeted Teaching Model and its use in the Early Childhood Education classroom will be included.
