The course will introduce network security and overall security processes with particular emphasis on security technologies, products and solutions, firewall and secure router design, installation, configuration and maintenance, and securing the network at layers 2 and 3 of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model. This course prepares the students for industry professional level certification such as the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Security) Certification.
