    This course is designed to provide the student with an introductory overview of the law enforcement profession in the State of California. Completion of the course requires the student to demonstrate the principles of arrest and control using control techniques and handcuffs. This course satisfies the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) academic training requirements for California Penal Code Section 832. Units earned in this course do not count toward the associate degree.
