    Description
    Students in this course implement a heart health education service learning project under the supervision of college faculty and in cooperation with the staff of a community organization or agency. Topics include heart health and sudden cardiac arrest, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the automated external defibrillator (AED), and access and equity in health care. During the course, students certify or re-certify in CPR. The course culminates in a community-based service learning project related to heart health education. This course is intended for students who are interested in health-related project development and public service.
