Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course covers the techniques of emergency medical care and transportation of the sick and injured within the responsibilities of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The course content is based upon the State of California Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Authority requirements referenced in Title 22, Division 9, Chapter 2, Emergency Medical Technician of the California Code of Regulations. Course approval is with the County of San Diego Emergency Medical Services. Upon successful completion, the student will be eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-EMT Cognitive and Psychomotor Examination for Emergency Medical Technician.
