Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course covers preventive maintenance on trucks and other heavy duty equipment. Students learn to perform inspection and maintenance procedures on heavy duty trucks, alternative fueled trucks, and heavy equipment. Topics include the theory of maintenance practices; industry-related Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) documentation; California Biannual Inspection of Terminal (B.I.T.); heavy duty shop tools and equipment usage; and service literature usage.
