Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course is an introduction to the appropriate use of assessment and observation tools and provides strategies for documenting young children’s development and learning. Emphasis is placed on the use of data to inform the planning of learning environments and curriculum experiences. Topics include strategies for collaboration with families and professionals. Ten hours of observation in a child care setting is required. This course is designed for students majoring in child development and those interested in the field.
