Emphasis is placed on marine organisms, their ecology and their evolutionary adaptations to marine habitats of the ocean environment. Topics include the marine environment and its organisms: plankton, plants, invertebrates, fishes, birds, reptiles, and mammals. Field trips include local marine habitats, aquaria and museums.
