Students learn about aircraft nomenclature and structure; stability; primary and secondary flight controls; and fixed and rotary wing principles of operation. Other topics include Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and manufacturers' aircraft specifications; data sheets; manuals; publications; and related Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), forms, and records. The course also covers weight and balance theory and ground operation and servicing.
