Topics include the aerodynamic principles of helicopter flight; helicopter instruments, engines, and systems; helicopter performance and operating characteristics; airports, airspace, weather, weather services, and navigation as they pertain to helicopter operations; and additional aeronautical knowledge. This course, combined with AVIA 101 (Private Pilot Ground School) and AVIA 133 (Human Factors in Aviation), fulfills all requirements for the FAA Helicopter Private Pilot Knowledge Test.
