Emphasis is placed on composition, color, and application of general design principles. A variety of subject matter, such as still-life, landscape, portrait and non-objective subjects, and a variety of stylistic approaches such as cubism, collage, realism and expressionism are explored. This course is designed to develop students' creative abilities and critical thinking in visual terms.
