Description: This course trains students on new legislation and legal updates; emergency medical techniques; skill proficiency training in vehicle operations, firearms, and defensive tactics; and the application of law enforcement policy to typical public safety situations. Other topics related to the continued proficiency of law enforcement personnel may also be addressed. This course meets the requirements of the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), Title 15, Minimum Standards of Training for Local Corrections and Probation Officers (STC), and the California Legislature requiring special technical and skill proficiency training as specified in Section 13510, 6030-6043 of the California Penal Code and SB-924.
