Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course provides an introduction to the role of forensics in criminal investigations. It examines the methods utilized in the forensic analysis of crime scenes, pattern evidence, instruments, firearms, questioned documents, and controlled substances. Other topics include law enforcement/crime laboratory involvement in the documentation, collection, and analysis of evidence including blood spatter, blood typing, DNA typing, drug/alcohol effects, wounds, trace evidence, documents, footprints, fingerprints, missile trajectory, and scene reconstruction.
