Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course covers basic medical terminology and the vocabulary of medical specialties. Special emphasis is on the use of prefixes and suffixes, and non-technical explanations of medical terms and descriptions of anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Students learn to utilize medical terminology as it applies to the structure of the human body, common laboratory tests, radiological and operative procedures, as well as basic pharmacology.
