    This course provides foundations for the practice of data science. Topics include exploration and implementation of the data science lifecycle of a variety of disciplines while also presenting inherent uncertainties and issues associated with exploring data. Emphasis is placed on exposure to foundational statistical concepts, inferential thinking, and computer programming required to collect, prepare, and analyze data numerically, visually and algorithmically, while also ethically communicating findings. It also includes an introduction to machine learning. This course is designed for students interested in or majoring in data science.
