Emphasis is placed on anatomy, physiology, tooth morphology, embryology and histology, head and neck anatomy, and landmarks of the face and oral cavity. Topics include microbiology in dentistry, disease transmission in dentistry, oral pathology, pharmacology, medical emergencies in the dental office, pain control, and anesthesia.
