Emphasis is placed on the history of restorative dentistry and its related materials. Topics include restorative, preventive and cosmetic materials, prosthetics, the chemical and physical properties of each material, and proper manipulation techniques. This course covers safe materials handling practices with emphasis on potential hazards to patient, operator and/or the environment.
