    This course is an introduction to programming using a block-based visual programming language. Students gain skills utilizing fundamental programming concepts such as variables, selection, repetition, functions, arrays, file input/output (I/O), and event-based programming to design games or other applications using the software development lifecycle. Additionally, students learn about computing in industry, where the field of computer science is headed, and critically examine the impact of technology on society. This course is designed as an interactive first course for both computer science and other majors.
