Emphasis is placed on the principles and laws of inorganic chemistry, including quantitative, mathematical problem solving. Topics include chemical equations, stoichiometry, atomic theory and its relationship to periodicity of the elements, bonding theories, molecular geometry, calorimetry, thermochemistry, solution chemistry, liquids, solids, and the gas laws.
