    Description
    This course is an introduction to the visual arts produced by selected peoples of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas from the prehistoric to contemporary periods. Topics include art and architecture produced by groups from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas and emphasize how art is representative of the cultural, religious, social, or political orientation of societies within each region. This course is designed for art and art history majors as well as others interested in the humanities.
