    Description
    This course provides a survey of art and architecture of the United States, examining theoretical and cultural influences on art from the early Colonial to the Modern periods. The course emphasizes U.S. born artists and artistic developments, as well as the indigenous and foreign influences that contributed to the development of U.S. art. This course is designed for students interested in U.S. artistic history and culture.
