Course topics include fidelity, comprehension, memory, reformation, self-monitoring, and repair techniques. The course is built on readings, discussion, practice, and self-analysis. Instructors may use ASL or English when teaching this course. Students observe working interpreters and volunteer in the Deaf or interpreting communities. Students begin interpreting simultaneously in preparation for the next course in this series.
