Students must be employed by or volunteer at a clinical site with which the nursing education program has a current affiliation agreement. The clinical site supports the objectives of the course and provides direct supervision of students through staff nurse mentors. Students apply previously learned nursing theory and clinical skills to perform client care. Students must be in good standing to enroll in this course. One unit of credit may be earned for every 54 hours of work experience. A maximum of fourteen credit hours for all work experience subject areas may be earned during one enrollment period.
