    This course assists students in developing and building fundamental knowledge of the programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of electronic manufacturing systems. Topics include different surface mount components, solder paste and its application, component placement, flux and cleaning, and quality control. Students also acquire hands-on experience on entering equipment programs, operating an entire surface mount technology line, and maintaining the equipment during and after production. The course is designed for students, technicians, technologists, and engineers from industry who are interested in the manufacture of printed circuit board assemblies.
