A multidisciplinary approach is utilized to examine the basic biological, psychological, and social aspects of aging. Emphasis is placed on the special needs and problems impacting the aged population. Historical, social, and cross-cultural issues in aging are examined. This course is intended for students majoring in behavioral sciences and gerontology as well as all students interested in human aging.
