    This course is a study of social media in contemporary society. Emphasis is placed on creating, communicating, and consuming information via digital, social, and mobile technologies in an evolving global environment. Topics include the history and impact of social media on countries and cultures, copyright and fair use, privacy and identity protection, and social analytics and reputation management. This course is designed for students in the digital journalism major and anyone interested in social media strategy and management.
