Transfers ToCSUDescriptionThis course focuses on the fundamentals of both the hardware and software aspects of the microcontroller. Typical devices that are connected to the microcontroller are: switches, light emitting diodes, seven segment displays, stepper motors, and a matrix keypad. An engineering evaluation board is used as the development system for the controller. Structured programming and flow charts are emphasized. Code is written in assembly language, compiled, and then downloaded to the controller. This course is intended for students majoring in Engineering Technology.
