Emphasis is placed on increasing students' understanding of politics in theatrical representation and comprehension of theatre as a tool for social change. Topics include the nature and function of theatrical representation, moving to historical and contemporary issues in American and World cultures. This class is designed for students majoring in theatre and those students interested in the Humanities and/or social and theoretical issues.
