Emphasis is placed on laboratory experiments that illustrate the fundamental principles and laws of chemical behavior and the properties of matter, including quantitative, mathematical problem-solving. Topics include techniques of data analysis, chemical formulas, equations, stoichiometry and maintenance of a laboratory notebook.
