The course also provides students with the basic structural and lexical knowledge to enable them to communicate orally and in writing in Arabic at a beginning level. Emphasis is placed on developing the students' ability to perform language functions in real-life situations through structured activities and grammatical exercises and on providing students with an overview of Arabic culture.
