    This course covers environmental requirements and management strategies for the sustainable production of major vegetable crops in California. Topics includes crop maintenance, crop planning, direct marketing, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and food safety for vegetable crops. Organic methods suitable for small-scale urban farms are emphasized. This course is intended for students interested in agriculture, environmental science, agricultural education, and sustainability.
