    This course is an introductory study of reader's advisory work as performed in public, academic, and school libraries. It offers a practical study of popular literature and literary genres, interpersonal skills, and interview techniques needed to become successful in recommending specific titles and/or authors to library patrons based on parameters such as story elements, reading interests, age groups, and reading levels.
