Covers the function of nutrients in basic life processes and health issues related to insufficient or excessive amounts of nutrients. Dietary guidelines and methods of analysis of a healthy diet throughout the lifespan will be taught, with a focus on social, cultural, economic and environmental conditions that influence nutrition (formerly FN 169).
