    A comprehensive study of the nutrition therapy principles that influence and contribute to development of chronic diseases. Diets will be formulated for appropriate clinical conditions and disease states, such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer and obesity. Scientific concepts of therapeutic nutrition related to the function of nutrients in disease processes and current health issues with emphasis on the needs of the individual for wellness (formerly FN 161).
