Transfers ToCSUDescriptionFourth semester study of Harpsichord, its history, performance practices, technique and repertory. Masterclass format. Students will learn pieces from Renaissance, Baroque, Galant, Early Classical and Contemporary styles written for harpsichord, as well as ornaments, fingering, dynamics tempi, varied repeats and articulation on the instrument. Emphasis on High Baroque pieces from French Clavecin school of the 18th century, early Classical and Galant and Contemporary styles.
