The repertoire includes oratorios of Handel, Haydn, Mendelssohn and other composers of the period. Rehearsals include study of historical perspective of the oratorio society as a social phenomenon of the Industrial Revolution, and the changing role of the composer, conductor and music critic in the 19th century society.
