The influence of political, social, technological, commercial, and popular culture will be discussed and analyzed, with an emphasis on the impact and interpretation of images, symbols, and typography used in informative and persuasive media in relation to the culture in which they were created. Students will analyze and evaluate a large cross section of graphic design and designers.
