Students summarize articles from a variety of academic disciplines and discuss current issues especially in American, western, and other cultures and relate those issues to their own culture and experiences. Students develop fluency and confidence by writing and rewriting thesis-based essays. (formerly ESL 350NC) This course is offered for zero units on an open-entry/open-exit basis.
