Through lecture, discussion, writing practice, and critique, students will learn how to craft fiction, from short form to long. Students may work on their individual writing goals during the term, producing short stories or chapters of a novel. Peers will offer oral and/or written feedback on work submitted to the class. Students will also be able to share their writing without critique. The class will also cover how to place work for publication and how to find a literary agent or publisher.
